Palm Pre Voice Call And Music?

January 25, 2010

Has anyone had a problem with Pre’s voice calling or music. I had one of the original Pre’s and it just didn’t want to play music off the app or Pandora after 4 months , as well as not being able to receive voice calls(voice mail as well) unless it was through blue tooth or the speaker. I got that one replaced and the new Pre is doing the same thing no music or voice calls unless some alternative method is used. This one lasted only a month and a half and i don’t want to replace it, get a third one and have this one crap out next weekend. Please help

My only suggestion is to try a soft reset. Turn it off, take the battery out and let it chill for a bit, then put it back together. If that doesn’t work, go to a sprint store and complain your fool head off. They’ll probably let you switch phones and I would get the HTC Hero when it comes out.

Pandora relies on a good carrier network connection to stream the music for playing. Not being able to receive voice calls may also be related to your carrier network (Sprint).
If you could copy music to your Palm Pre and play them successfully without any issues, then the problem may not be with the Palm Pre but with your network coverage or profile setup with Sprint.
